Kurasu

Kurasu was founded by Yozo Otsuki in 2013 in Kyoto, Japan. The name “Kurasu” means “to live” or “to spend time” in Japanese, reflecting their goal of integrating coffee into everyday life. Initially an online store, they expanded to physical cafes in Kyoto, Singapore, Bangkok and Hong Kong. Kurasu focuses on sourcing and roasting high-quality coffee beans, offering a unique blend of Japanese aesthetics and modern coffee culture. They also provide coffee subscriptions, educational workshops, and prioritize sustainability and community. Their mission is to share the best of Japanese coffee culture with the world.
